In traditional acoustic mode, the U1 delivers the clear tone and responsive touch that have made it a favorite. When Silent Mode is engaged, optical sensors capture the player's key strikes, preventing the hammers from hitting the strings. This allows the pianist to hear a digitally sampled grand piano through their headphones. A good choice for late-night practice sessions, apartments, and shared living spaces.
