Steinert & Sons is an exclusive Steinway dealer in New England dedicated to supporting piano education. The M. Steinert & Sons Piano Academy in Natick provides piano lessons to students of all ages and levels.

Position Overview

The M. Steinert & Sons Piano Academy in Natick is looking for qualified Piano Instructors to teach Fall 2015 and beyond.

Candidates for this position should a have strong pedagogical background and experience in piano performing, as well as being nurturing and caring individuals. They must be able to take a personalized approach to students of various temperaments and levels. Candidates should have good communication skills and the ability to inspire confidence in potential students, leading to their enrollment.

Lessons are taught in the M. Steinert & Sons Piano Academy, located in the Natick Mall. One or more recitals are scheduled during the school year. Steinway-designed pianos are used for lessons, and a Steinway concert grand is used for in-store recitals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Piano performance from an established conservatory.
  • Master and Doctoral in music field is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Appreciation of Steinway pianos brand.

Compensation:

This position is paid by the hour; checks are paid monthly and no taxes are withdrawn; 1099 form is issued in the end of each tax year.

Rate is by agreement with M. Steinert & Sons.

M. Steinert & Sons, the nations’ oldest musical instrument retailer, has an opening for a piano sales professional in our Boston showroom. This position requires knowledge of piano design and construction, some musical ability, and successful sales experience. Most of all, you’ll need a passion for the piano.You’ll be representing the finest musical instruments in the world to customers who understand and appreciate what makes a Steinway piano the best ever crafted. A background in consultative sales is preferred, and previous sales experience in musical instruments or luxury items will be favored.You must be:

  • Neat and professional
  • Reliable
  • Organized
  • Have excellent communications skills
  • Outgoing and personable
